Our Space is Available

Our building, richly layered in history, is a provincially registered heritage property, adorned with interesting architectural details and historic features.

We are centrally located in South End Halifax at 5500 Inglis Street, with ample street parking and some on-site parking.  We are on Metro Transit ALF bus route #9, with ALF bus route #14 nearby.

Our front entrance and the entire main floor are wheelchair accessible, including the Ballroom Gallery, the large meeting or service room, and washrooms.

Our building provides an intimate and friendly setting for small to medium-sized events, perfect for conferences, workshops, openings, book launches, weddings, child dedications, memorial services, and other special events. Our main service room seats up to 90 but groups of only 20 or 30 are also comfortable here.

The reception room between the service room and the main entrance is a handsome 19th century ballroom that doubles as an art gallery. This room is suitable for small gatherings (up to 15 seated) and receptions (60 standing). The reception room also features an adjacent outdoor patio deck with some seating which can be used from spring to autumn. The deck overlooks a large treed back yard.

Adjacent to both the reception room and the service room is a full service kitchen. There you will find a full array of food prep implements, serving utensils and ware, a microwave oven, a 6-burner stove, and a commercial dishwasher.

The building is available six nights per week (no Sundays), full days, or for recurring use. Call about our suggested non-profit rates. 429-5500, Mon-Wed-Fri,10am- 3pm.
