Youth
Young people from 13 to 19 and a youth advisor meet to explore religious, social justice and interpersonal issues and experiences that are appropriate for this age group. The group participates within the larger church community through occasional youth-led Sunday services and social action projects. Our youth are given the opportunity to connect with the national and continental Unitarian Universalist Youth community through conferences and regional gatherings.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Senior Youth Group Resumes
After a much needed summer break, the senior youth group will
resume regular meetings every 2nd and 4th Sunday afternoon from
1 pm to 2:30 pm at the church. Last year, religious education of the
senior youth group was comprised of OWL (Our Whole Lives) sexuality
training sessions, "Church Across the Street" experiences, and
discussion on UU values and a personal search for truth and meaning.
The "Church Across the Street" experiences will continue into this New Year,
and the discussions we've had on UU values and identity will be transformed
into social justice initiatives led by the youth of our church.
Apart from the religious education aspect of the senior youth group,
we will also take plenty of time to play (bowling, going to the beach,
watching movies, having cons, etc). We always welcome any youth between
the ages of 13-19 to join us. If you have any questions,
please contact Kathy Spencer at 466-7246 or kathy.spencer@dal.ca
